Hi! My name is Arshiya Fathima, and I live in New Jersey. I have always been interested in STEM, and I was drawn to G.I.R.L.S.’s mission of increasing the knowledge and representation women have in these areas. I love math, science, and technology, and I like to develop different mobile applications.

My name is Maddie Miller, and I joined the G.I.R.L.S. Organization to deepen my involvement in empowering young women in STEM while also honing my writing skills. I’m thrilled about the opportunity to contribute to published articles and guide fellow young writers. With a strong interest in chemical engineering, I aim to specialize in this field in the future. Outside of academics, I am a competitive dancer and avid reader.

I’m Caitlyn Castañeda, and I live in Los Angeles, California. I joined the G.I.R.L.S. Organization to broaden my understanding of science. My interests lie in mechanical engineering, and I aspire to become a Disney Imagineer in the future. At my school, I founded the Wildcats in STEM Initiative, a group dedicated to teaching students about various STEM fields. In addition, I’ve begun The Theme-Crafting Collective; through this organization, members will be organized into teams to create their own theme-park entertainment based on given prompts, starting in 2024.

My name is Maria Lemets, and I live in Warsaw, Poland. I see the G.I.R.L.S. Organization as a chance to drive innovation and make a meaningful impact. My interest in science subjects gives me a unique view on the world around me. In my free time, I enjoy exploring additional scientific topics, writing, and engaging in various forms of art.

Hi! My name is Anya Goel, and I currently live in Atlanta, Georgia. I wanted to join G.I.R.L.S. after I heard about the work of the individuals in the organization. I want to assist other women, and I hope to do this through G.I.R.L.S. I am interested in technology, coding, robotics, and aerospace engineering. My hobbies include coding, horseback riding, ice skating, animation, and working on video games with friends.

Hello! My name is Sydney Kim. While representation of women in STEM has come a long way, much more of the journey still lies ahead, and I believe G.I.R.L.S is committed to breaching the social and economic hurdles that have held women back for centuries. I am excited to help educate and encourage younger women to enter STEM careers by writing for this organization. Academically, I enjoy learning about science, chiefly biology, and mathematics. In my free time, I love to swim, draw, and listen to music!
